Virtual Solution Box 4.0

Virtual Solution Box 4.0 is available. VSB 4.0 adds support for VMware® vSphere™ 4

Recently we have been asked many times, whether or not the Virtual Solution Box supports the new VMware® vSphere™ 4. Since many of our customers requested this feature quite urgently, we decided to postpone other development plans like ESXi support to a later date and release a Virtual Solution Box 4 instead.

Major new features

Support of VMware® vSphere™ 4.
New licensing model focused on small business.

New licensing model

Virtual Solution Box 4 will be offered with a small business friendly pricing model.

VSB-STD, Virtual Solution Box Standard, 5 VMs package, € 500.00.
The subscription is free for the first year, starting with the purchase of the first VSB Standard.
VSB-SBE, Virtual Solution Box Small Business for 25 VMs, € 800.00.
The subscription is free for the first year.
Replication, advanced reporting and scheduling are not included.
Licenses are limited up to 25 VMs.
VSB-ENT, Virtual Solution Box Enterprise for unlimited VMs, € 9900.00.
The subscription is free for the first year.

Upgrades

Customers with a valid subscription may request a free upgrade to Virtual Solution Box 4 by sending us an email to

with the following information:

Customer name.
License number(s).
An email address where to send the new license.

Customers without a valid subscription may upgrade by purchasing version 4
(with less or equal owned license numbers as version 3) with a discount of 50%.

Sidegrade Small Business/Standard

Customers owning a VSB Small Business version 3 with a valid subscription may choose between keeping a VSB Small Business version 4
or sidegrade to VSB Standard version 4 by purchasing one to five VSB Standard 5 VMs package with a discount of 50%.

Offer valid until 31.12.2009.
Only valid for customers who purchased VSB Small Business version 3 before 30.08.2009.

Support

We will introduce 3 levels of support:

Trial support for customers testing the Virtual Solution Box.
Free of charge.
Support only for the first 30 days and for a non productive environment.
Response time with low priority.
Basic support for customers owing a purchased Virtual Solution Box.
Free of charge.
Response time with medium priority, usually 3+ days.
Advanced support.
Price per incident, € 250.00.
Response time with high priority, usually 1 day.

We take all support issues seriously, with the same level of high quality for all levels of support.
With the charge for the advanced suppport, you get a faster response time.

Trial version

For „anonymous“ customers Virtual Solution Box 4 will be available with a 5 VMs time bombed version including all functions for a period of 30 days (starting with first install). Upon request, the number of VMs or/and the trial period can be extended up to 60 days. Only a license key will be needed for changing the trial version into a production version.
